John Stansfield presents. From Pittsburgh to the Rocky Mountains and back. Major Stephen Long’s U.S. expedition traveled by boat, horseback and foot in 1819 — 1820. They came through our area, named Castle Rock & Discovered the Columbine flower.

Presented by Col. Tom Duhs, USMC (Ret.) “The Ski Troops” trained at Camp Hale and were modeled on Finnish Winter-Warfare troops.

Eric Schwab will conduct walking tours of the Monument Tree Farm. The first tour is at 9 am. The second tour is at 2 pm.
