“Easy Hikes to the Hidden Past”

May 18, 2023 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Join the Palmer Lake Historical Society as we meet Rocky Shockley & T. Duren Jones, authors of Easy Hikes to the Hidden Past: Pikes Peak Region Edition.

Learn about some wonderful walks, hikes, bike rides.  Make discoveries of the region’s-often hidden-historic past. Rocky & T. Duren provide well-researched trail explorations with an educational “treasure hunt” for relics of times gone by that should not be forgotten. The Pikes Peak Region Edition covers Monument & Palmer Lake, Colorado Springs, Manitou Springs, Cripple Creek & Canyon City.

Easy Hikes to the Hidden Past offers something for everyone, with varied physical abilities. Trail maps ideas, trivia, historical photos, humor & insights.

Thursday, May 18. Doors open at 6:30 pm. Program starts at 7:00 pm. Light refreshments will be served after the program. FREE & open to the public. Learn about Colorado’s colorful past.

In case of inclement weather we follow District 38 weather alerts. We want everyone to be safe.
