“The Night of a Thousand Heroes”

June 16, 2022 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm

Head and shoulders photograph of Tracy Beach

After postponement due to bad weather in March, the Palmer Lake Historical Society invites you hear Tracy Beach’s presentation of “The Night of a Thousand Heroes” based on her book of the same name. The program will include a short historical lecture on the history of the disastrous June 1921 Pueblo Flood, a slide show, and a presentation of historical flood artifacts.

Admission is free and open to all!

Doors open to the public at 6:30.

Light refreshments are served after the program.

Tracy Beach, raised in Salida, CO, is the author of “The Tunnels under our feet- Colorado’s forgotten hollow sidewalks;” “My life as a Whore- the biography of Madam Laura Evens;” “Frozen to the cabin floor- the biography of Baby Doe Tabor;” “Michael;” and “The Night of a Thousand Heroes.” She is currently working on two WW2 biographies.
